AI-Integrated UV Water Filter — Xylem Ignite Program

Investigated 15 public fountain water samples and explored a proposed UV filtration design with simulated monitoring. The physical system and Raspberry Pi implementation were not built.

Overview

Microtrace combined public fountain water sampling with a proposed UV filtration design and a dashboard using simulated turbidity, temperature, and UV exposure measurements. Supported by Xylem Ignite, the work included CAD renderings and a conference presentation. The physical filtration system and proposed Raspberry Pi integration were not implemented.

Role

Researcher — Investigated public fountain water samples with Rishi Yedavalli and Mithra Vikram and worked on the filtration design and simulated monitoring interface.
